Sweet and Salty Hake Flake

This is great dish for kids who don't like fish.

  • Rice topped with Sweet and Salty Hake Flake
  • Ginger Pork with Carrot and Onion
  • Grilled Zucchini and Spring Onion
  • Tomato Salad

Ingredients

  • 200g of Hake or cod
  • 1 Teaspoon of Grated Ginger
  • 2 Tablespoons of Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons of Sugar



Directions

1. Boil Hake for 2 minutes. Don't have to cook completely into the centre.
2. Drain water and allow it cool. Then remove bone and skin by using hands. 

3. Boil sugar and soy sauce in a small pan and then add hake and ginger.
4. Smash hake into pieces with a spatula or a fork while stir frying over small temperature. 
5. Allow the moisture gone to make it flake condition.

Nice to top over rice or adding to mashed potato. If mixing with mayonnaise, nice ingredients for sandwiches.
Store in fridge and consume within two weeks.

Time to prepare: 20 minutes
Total Cost: 1.2 Pounds

Tofu and Wakame Miso Soup

Ingredients

  • 2-3 stems of Dried Wakame Seaweed 
  • 50g of Tofu
  • 1 Spring Onion
  • 400cc of Dashi (Japanese fish stock)
  • 3 tablespoons of miso (white and brown together)

Directions

1. Soak wakame in warm water for 1-2 minutes till they get soft.

2. Cut wakame into 1.5cm length. Dice tofu and slice spring onion thinly.

3. Pour Dashi in a pan and dissolve miso over a net.

4. Heat up the pan to warm miso soup and add tofu and wakame. Avoid boiling the soup to feature the fresh flavour of dashi and miso.

5. Serve miso soup in a wooden bowl with the spring onion.
